Greg Frey continues dominant 2015 campaign
The visiting Pirates jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead, but the Hounds countered for 3 in the bottom of the first and never looked back. The story of the day was Frey, who never allowed Pirates hitters to find a rhythm. He walked a few and pitched through some shaky defense, escaping several jams with big strikeouts or by inducing double plays. In the complete game victory, Frey allowed only 1ER while striking out 9.
For the hounds, Brad Urba went 2-5 scoring 2 Runs and swiping three. Brian Montemurro scored 3 runs on a 2-4 day. Danny Gilbert led the way with hits in 4 of 5 ABs on the day.
Ron Anderson, Twitt Gibson, Dennis Oliver and Simone Wyatt each had multi-hit days for the Pirates.
