Stars Shut Out Grays on Umland 3 hitter
Jeremy Umland took a no hitter into the 8th inning as the Stars shut out the Grays 4 - 0 while Umland struck out 15 Grays. Umland faced the minimum number of batters in the first 7 innings as he also had done the last three innings of the Stars previous game. The 2 hour 15 minute game was well played on both sides and scoreless through 4 until Steve Getzug's two out single in the 5th drove in 2 runs. Taylor Grigsby and Rick Levy each contributed RBI singles while Dan Grigsby's double was the only Stars extra base hit. Both teams played excellent defense. Steve Getzug's defense was also stellar.
