Safety Alert: Tigers break out of cage at Roybal
After seven weeks of sputtering to find their offensive claws, the Tigers broke through on a sunny afternoon at Roybal, scoring 21 runs. The Cats needed the offense too, as the Bucs dropped 6 runs of their own on the Tigers before the 2nd was done. But today was a day for the Tiger bats with some of the highlights: Tim O'Hair: 3 for 3 with a triple, 4 runs scored, 2 walks, 3 rbi's and 4 stolen bases! Both Troy Combs and Mike Maglione went 2 for 3 with a double, Combs scoring 3 runs and Mags 4.
Rich Thorne gets the complete game win, fighting out of the 2nd inning scrape and holding the lead until the game timed out.
The Tigers will be alert for the Bucs next time--they're a much better team than the score made it look today.
