Spring goes hitless in 5 ABs. Hounds win anyway.
The Rockhounds take down the Diablos in a slugfest. It was apparent from the game's first pitch, a Greg Frey slider that Don Maclean drove for a double, that this game would be a hit parade. And a parade it was. Some facts about the game:
The teams combined for 38 hits in the game. 9 of 10 'Hounds hitters tallied a hit, with Jeremy Spring being the lone hitless batter. He went 0-5. 8 of 10 'Hounds batters registered multi-hit games. Spring of, course, was not one of the batters to collect multiple hits. In fact, he went hitless. 8 of 10 'Hounds batters picked up RBI's. Ramon Carter and Brad combined to steal 9 bags.
