Bruins Battle Back for Victory
Unable to cash in on a number of run scoring opportunities early in the game, the Bruins trailed the new-look Stallions 11-1 after 5 innings. The Bruins then began to chip away, posting 2 runs in each of the next two innings. Still down by 6 going into the bottom of the 9th, the Bruins had eight consecutive hitters reach base. The final blow -- Garrett Ray's bases load, full count, walk-off shot down the right field line to drive in the final 3 runs. Dave Noll led the way going 5-5, while Bill Brown and Bryen Cass combined out of the bullpen to throw 4+ innings of shutout ball, giving up only one hit each to set up the dramatic comeback. The Bruins #1 (and only) fan Walker Reinfeld stormed the field to celebrate the hard-fought victory declaring, "I never doubted it for a second!"
