Frey throws another gem. Rockhounds top Bucs
The Bucs touched Greg Frey for an earned run in the first, but the pitcher continued his strong Cy Young campaign by cruising through the next 8 without allowing another earned run. He finished the complete game victory with 7k's and just 5 hits allowed.
The Rockhounds nearly matched their hit total with Stolen Bases on the day, swiping 13. Todd Severson stole 3 during his 3 hit day. 5 other 'Hounds hitters tallied multiple hits, including Ramon Carter, Danny Gilbert, Mike Rivera and Mike Fortunado.
Despite some sloppy play behind him, particularly at the shortstop position, Greg Frey did a great job all day of limiting potential rallies by the Bucs, who were battling through the injury bug and missing some key players. He pounded the strike zone early and kept the leadoff men off the bases all day.
