Brewers Shutout Bombers, 17-0
The Brewers were firing on all cylinders...pitching, hitting and defense...to defeat a strong Bombers team, 17-0. Greg Bertrand went eight, allowing only four hits and no runs to a dangerous Bombers lineup. The Brew Crew bats were blazing, as they scored crooked numbers in six of the nine innings. There were contributions throughout the lineup, but Mike LeCocq (3 RBIs) and Sandro Padron (2 doubles) led the onslaught with 3 hits apiece. Mark Behn (a double and a triple) and Jesse Tejeda each drove in three. The errorless defense was highlighted by several sparkling plays from Augie Alonso at SS and Tejeda at 2B.
The Bombers were led by Mark Todd, who delivered a single and a double on the day.
