Guapos Back on Track

The Guapos got off the schneid behind starter Kris Wynne, who beasted a 130-pitch complete game at Roybal. Battery-mate Alex Acuna had 3 hit, 4 RBI day, and every knock was needed against a tough Cards team that hung in late. Guapos manager Bob Simon missed the game with an embarrassing injury due to misuse of the wrong fork at a fancy restaurant. Our thoughts are with him. For the Cards: special thanks to a trio of pool players without whom the Cards would have to forfeit. Danny Gilbert( who had 3 hits and scored 2 runs) Larry Jerro and Allan Zentgraf.
