Grillo leads Bonaddio Construction over Monker Grotto

Cooper Grillo used his bat (3 for 3, 3 runs scored) and his arm (winning Pitcher 5-1/3 innings, 11 k's and 2 walks) to lead Bonaddio Construction to a 7-3 victory over Monker Grotto.

Brandon Frederique was the star for Monker Grotto hitting his third home run in as many games as he drove in Artie Cocchia (double, run scored) in the top of the first for a 2-0 lead. Bonaddio battled right back with a Cooper Grillo double, followed by a stolen base and a ground out RBI by Trevor McGee to cut the lead to 2-1. A two out rally in the 3rd inning, capped off by a key Joey Snyder single (2 hits and an RBI ) helped Bonaddio stretch its lead to 5-2. Two more runs again with two outs in the 5th inning helped to break the game open for a 7-3 final score. Danny Miller came on in the 6th to record the save, striking out the final two batters of the game. Joey Cambareri had 2 hits and Ryan Darling reached base all three times for Monker Grotto.
