Bonaddio Construction gets by Monker Grotto 6-5
Bonaddio Construction held on for a 6-5 victory over Monker Grotto to capture their League-high 10th win of the season. Cooper Grillo continued his torrid pace at the plate with a big double. Grillo finished with 3 RBI on the day including picking up a save in relief of winning pitcher Jose Vasquez, who made his mound debut in brilliant fashion, scattering 4 hits while striking out 7 batters. Anthony Kayal and Daniel Miller both scored two runs each for Bonaddio Construction, who also got a nice game from Joey Snyder who singled and made a nice catch in centerfield. Artie Cocchia was a standout for Monker Grotto with two doubles and flashing some leather at shortstop in a strong effort. Joey Cambereri added two hits as well. Brandon Frederique hit a first inning two run home run for Monker Grotto, who ran out to a 2-0 lead in the first before Bonaddio Construction answered with a 4 run second inning.
