Parker Meyers Hurls South Park To Win Over Snappers
South Park's Parker Meyers and South Hills pitcher John Bachman matched up in tonight's important game for both teams. South Park got to Bachman in the top of the first when Dylan Pounds doubled and advanced to 3rd on a Chad Jacob groundout. Ryan Dodson then delivered a single to score Pounds. South Park's Meyers struggled mightily in the bottom half of the inning, walking the leadoff batter and then hitting consecutive batters to load the bases with no outs. He was able to work out of the potential big inning with a popup and a 6-4-3 double play ball. South Park would score 2 more in the second on an Anthony Monaco sacrifice fly and another base it by Pounds. They tacked on their 4th and final run in the 3rd when Adam Dodson drove in Ryan Dodson. South Hills would nick Meyers for their lone run in bottom of the 3rd after Mike Trusky singled and advanced to 3rd on a Pat McCarthy double. Trusky would then score on a Mike McCarthy groundout. Meyers would finish the game allowing a total of 4 hits, 4 walks and 5 strikeouts in the complete game effort. The South Park offense put together 10 hits to go with 3 walks. Dylan Pounds, Ryan Dodson, Adam Dodson and Nick Arnoni all had multi-hit games for South Park.
