Despite JON MILLER's 2-3 performance at the plate on Sunday, WESTON TRAVEL BASEBALL HAWKS 13U took a 13-7 loss at the hands of Miami Avengers at regional park field two.
Two of WESTON TRAVEL BASEBALL HAWKS 13U's runs were scored thanks to timely hitting by JON. He singled in the third and fourth innings.
The lead stayed with Miami Avengers after the first, when it scored five runs on a fielder's choice.
Miami Avengers built upon its lead with eight runs in the third. The inning looked promising, as Janiel doubled, scoring Knaje to kick things off. That was followed up by Justin's single, bringing home Janiel and Joel.
After pushing across two runs in the bottom of the third, WESTON TRAVEL BASEBALL HAWKS 13U faced just a 13-2 deficit. An RBI single by JON and an RBI double by KOLBY MILLER gave WESTON TRAVEL BASEBALL HAWKS 13U life. The WESTON TRAVEL BASEBALL HAWKS 13U threat came to an end when Janiel finally got DAVID RAMOS to fly out.
After pushing across five runs in the bottom of the fourth, WESTON TRAVEL BASEBALL HAWKS 13U faced just a 13-7 deficit. An RBI single by JON, an RBI single by BRANDON MORRISION, an error, and a two-run single by MOSES LOPEZ sparked WESTON TRAVEL BASEBALL HAWKS 13U's rally. Finally, Jesus induced an inning-ending ground out from DAVID.
