Sixth-inning rally sparks win for Red Storm 13-4

An eight-run explosion in the sixth inning carried Scarborough High School to a 13-4 win in seven innings over Sanford HS on Monday.

Scarborough High School scored in the sixth on a two-run double by Chloe Griffin, a two-run home run by Kaleigh Scoville, an RBI single by Felicia O'Reilly, a wild pitch, an RBI single by Maggie Murphy, and an error.

Scarborough High School hit three home runs in the win. Additional home runs for Scarborough High School came when Chloe Griffin homered in the third inning and Chloe Gorey homered in the fifth inning.

Murphy went a perfect 4-4 at the plate for Scarborough High School.

Lilly Volk got the win in relief for Scarborough High School. Volk pitched four innings and allowed one run.

Scarborough High School answered Sanford HS' top inning with two runs of its own in the third. Scarborough High School scored on a two-run home run by Chloe Griffin.

The game was never in doubt after the fifth, as Scarborough High School scored three runs on a two-run home run by Chloe Gorey.
