Griffin's 2 HR 5 RBI Lead Scarborough Past Nobel in 19-0 Win

A great effort by Chloe Griffin spurred Scarborough High School to a 19-0 win in five innings over Noble HS on Monday.

Chloe Griffin rocked Noble HS with two home runs. Chloe Griffin went 2-4 in the game with five RBIs and three runs scored. Chloe Griffin homered in the first and third innings.

Ten runs in the first three innings helped Scarborough High School blow out Noble HS. A two-run home run by Chloe Griffin, an RBI double by Laura Powell, and an RBI single by Lindsey Kelley in the first inning and an RBI single by Maggie Murphy and a sacrifice fly by Chloe Griffin during the second inning helped Scarborough High School put some runs on the board early.

Scarborough High School hit three home runs in the win. Additional home runs for Scarborough High School came when Chloe Griffin homered in the first and third innings and Tori Hale homered in the fourth inning.

Abbie Murrell got it done in the circle on the way to a win. She tossed five innings of shutout ball. Murrell struck out seven, walked four and gave up three hits.

Shaughnessey Gower was charged with the loss. She allowed 10 runs in three innings, walked four and struck out two.

Scarborough High School added four more runs in the top of the third. A single by Kelley ignited the offense,, plating Powell. That was followed up by Murphy's single, bringing home Kelley.

Scarborough High School built upon its lead with seven runs in the fourth. The inning looked promising, as Lilly Volk doubled, plating Courtney Brochu to kick things off.

Scarborough High School piled on two more runs in the top of the fifth. Hale's single got things going, scoring Hunter Greenleaf. That was followed up by Murrell's single, bringing home Murphy.
