Scarborough High School gets 10 strikeouts from Chloe Griffin, win 9-1 over Marshwood HS

Chloe Griffin hopes every outing could go as well as Thursday, as Chloe Griffin struck out 10 batters to carry Scarborough High School to a 9-1 victory over Marshwood HS in seven innings.

Scarborough High School beat Marshwood HS thanks to 16 hits, including six extra base hits. Scarborough High School scored three runs in the sixth on Scarborough High School scored in the sixth on an RBI double by Chloe Griffin, an RBI double by Kaleigh Scoville, and an RBI double by Lilly Volk.

Volk racked up three RBIs on three hits for Scarborough High School.

Emily Robida couldn't get it done in the circle for Marshwood HS, taking a loss. She allowed nine runs in six innings, walked one and struck out two.

Scarborough High School went up for good in the first, scoring three runs on two sacrifice flys and an RBI single by Chloe Griffin.

Scarborough High School built upon its lead with two runs in the fifth. The inning looked promising, as Volk homered to kick things off.
