Griffin Dominates with 2 hit 14 K Shutout

Chloe Griffin shut down Portland HS, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Scarborough High School/Redstorm to a 11-0 victory on Thursday
Scarborough High School/Redstorm scored five runs in the seventh inning. The rally was led by a triple by Sam Carriero, a sac fly by Mollie Verreault, and an error on a ball put in play by Hunter Greenleaf.
One bright spot for Portland HS was a double by Jessica Brown in the first inning.
Griffin led the Scarborough High School/Redstorm to victory on the rubber. She surrendered zero runs on two hits over seven innings, striking out 14 and walking zero.
Brown took the loss for Portland HS. She lasted seven innings, allowing 12 hits and 11 runs while striking out nine and walking one.
Scarborough High School/Redstorm launched two home runs on the day. Griffin had a dinger in the third inning. Bella Dickinson put one out in the fourth inning.
