Quinn Construction Mudcats Roll To 4-1 Win

Tarran Senay homered and Kenny Gault pitched five plus scoreless innings as the Quinn Construction Mudcats beat the Pittsburgh Rebels 4-1 at West Field in a battle of one-loss teams. Senay broke a scoreless tie in the second with a solo bomb over the right center field fence. That was followed by a Richard Perez double and then later courtesy runner Jake Liposky stole home to make it 2-0. In the fourth, Perez singled and cr Liposky scored one out later on a bloop single by Mike Herman. Quinn Construction made it 4-0 in the sixth when Herman reached on an error and his runner Liposky scored on a two out double by Eric Morrison. The Rebels finally scored in the seventh on an RBI double by Shane Fiotentini that scored Tyler Barnot. Gault picked up the win while Brett Willner suffered his first loss of the season. Jim Pasquine picked up the save as he fanned the only batter he faced with two outs and bases loaded in the 7th.
