Grant Burleson's Walk-off Gives GT the Victory
It came down to the wire on Sunday, with Game Time Sports Blue 15U taking victory on a dramatic walk-off single in the late innings that sealed their victory over Knights Baseball 15U Premier. The game was tied at one with Game Time Sports Blue 15U batting in the bottom of the eighth when Grant Burleson singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Alec Beaman struck out nine, while Baker sat down one.
In the top of the seventh inning, Knights Baseball 15U Premier tied things up at one.
Beaman led the Game Time Sports Blue 15U to victory on the pitcher's mound. He allowed one hit and one run over eight innings, striking out nine and walking zero.
Baker started the game for Knights Baseball 15U Premier. He allowed four hits and two runs over seven and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking zero.
Burleson went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Game Time Sports Blue 15U in hits.
