BVA Stays Scrappy In Loss To Ringgold

Despite a 4-run deficit in the first inning, BVA almost came all the way back, eventually falling 4-3 to Ringgold on Wednesday. BVA managed three runs in the failed comeback. Tyler Steadman and Steadman came through with RBIs to lead the rally.

BVA fell behind early in the loss. Ringgold scored on a double by Bobby Boyer, a single by Nick Kolano, and a sacrifice fly by Sam Daerr in the first inning.

Ringgold got things moving in the first inning, when Boyer doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Chase Angotti earned the win for Ringgold. He went six innings, allowing one run on four hits and striking out six. Nate Pajak threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Pajakrecorded the last three outs to earn the save for Ringgold.

Cole Naylor took the loss for BVA. He lasted six innings, allowing seven hits and four runs while striking out two and walking zero.
BVA had six hits in the game. Steadman and Garrett Greco each collected multiple hits for BVA. Steadman led BVA with three hits in four at bats.

Ringgold tallied seven hits on the day. Travis Drubasky and Kolano all managed multiple hits for Ringgold.
