BVA Grabs Lead In Fifth Inning For Victory Over Ringgold
BVA took the lead late and defeated Ringgold 4-3 on Wednesday. The game was tied at three with BVA batting in the bottom of the fifth when Josh Peters induced Joshua Hoffman to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.
Ringgold got things moving in the first inning, when Nick Kolano singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run.
Erik Pietrantoni took the win for BVA He went five innings, allowing three runs on three hits and striking out four. Andrew Kostelnik threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Kostelnik recorded the last six outs to earn the save for BVA
Peters took the loss for Ringgold. He went six innings, allowing four runs on seven hits and striking out seven.
BVA totaled seven hits in the game. Mason Pascoe and Garrett Greco each had multiple hits for BVA Greco and Pascoe each collected two hits to lead BVA BVA didn't commit a single error in the field. Cole Naylor had the most chances in the field with six.
Ringgold was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Bobby Boyer had the most chances in the field with seven.
