BVA Claims Lead In Fifth Inning To Defeat McKeesport
BVA snagged a late lead and defeated McKeesport 9-1 on Thursday. The game was tied at one with BVA batting in the top of the fifth when an error scored one run for BVA.
In the first inning, McKeesport got their offense started when Alex Dalton singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run.
BVA knotted the game up at one in the top of the second inning, when Mason Pascoe singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.
Cole Naylor got the win for BVA. He surrendered one run on four hits over seven innings, striking out four.
Seth Olinsky took the loss for McKeesport. He lasted seven innings, allowing 14 hits and nine runs while striking out one and walking one.
BVA collected 14 hits on the day. Max Gauden, Joshua Hoffman, Pascoe, Garrett Greco, and Logan Seliga all managed multiple hits for BVA. Gauden led BVA with four hits in four at bats.
McKeesport tallied four hits in the game. Dalton and Zachary Marcic all collected multiple hits for McKeesport.
