Bruins Come From Behind For The W
Sloppy defense plagued the Bruins early as the team had trouble adjusting to its first game on the Glendale turf. 5 errors contributed to 7 unearned runs and a 7-1 deficit after 3.5 innings. But the bottom of the 4th saw a shift in momentum as the Bruins sent 16 hitters to the plate and came away with a 12-7 lead. Led by MVP candidate Casey Fritts (5-5, BB, HR, 4 Runs, 6 RBI) and Jade Devitt (4-5, HBP, 5 Runs, 5 RBI), the offense continued to roll as Bill Brown (W) and Kris Wynne (S) allowed only 1 run on 5 hits in 4.2 innings of relief. Dave Noll pitched a strong 4+ and added 4 hits.
