Dodgers Win
Starter Will Diaz hurled 6 strong innings, and Manuel Campos threw 3 scoreless innings to lead the Dodgers to victory over the Stallions.
The Stallions opened the scoring in the 3rd with a J.J. Schliebe-Leiro double, followed by a Sean Lang triple, and then Lang scored on a botched run-down play to take a 2-0 lead. But that was all the scoring for the Stallions on the day.
The Dodgers got one run in the 3rd as Dave Brown singled in the run. Then in the 5th tied the game as Brown hit a run scoring double. The pivotal inning was the 7th, as the Dodgers scored 3 to take the 5-2 lead, which ended up being the final. In the 7th Kyle Taylor singled and stole 2nd base, which was followed by a James Cronin HBP (his 3rd such of the game). So with runners on 1st and 2nd and John Park at the plate, the Stallions tried a catcher to 2nd base pick-off play; however, the throw sailed high into center field and got by the center fielder all the way to the wall and both runners scored ... Dodgers 4 - 2 at that point. Park then singled and eventually scored later in the inning on a Howie Kremer single to give the Dodgers their final run and make the game 5 -2.
