5-Hit Day For Roy Leads Scarborough High School Past Sanford
Katie Roy came to ballpark and meant business on Wednesday, tallying five hits and leading Scarborough High School to a 17-4 win over Sanford. Roy singled in the first, singled in the third, singled in the fourth, singled in the sixth, and singled in the seventh.
Scarborough High School fired up the offense in the first inning. Caitlin Noiles grounded out, scoring one run.
Mia Kelley pitched Scarborough High School to victory. She lasted three innings, allowing six hits and four runs while striking out six and walking one. Noiles and Bella Dickinson entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Hannah Crosby took the loss for Sanford. She went seven innings, allowing 17 runs on 24 hits, striking out one and walking zero.
