Scarborough Once Again Wins Class A South Title in 8-4 Win!

Scarborough High School weathered a push by Thornton Academy in the first inning where Scarborough High School coughed up three runs, but Scarborough High School still won 8-4 on Wednesday. Abby Miner, Hannah Collins, and Olivia Paradis each had RBIs in the big inning.
Thornton Academy got on the board in the first inning. Thornton Academy scored one run when Miner doubled.
Scarborough High School knotted the game up at three in the bottom of the third inning, when an error scored one run for Scarborough High School .
Scarborough High School pulled away for good with two runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Bella Dickinson singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run and AJ Swett singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
Scarborough High School scored three runs in the sixth inning. Swett and Caitlin Noiles each drove in runs during the inning.
Dickinson got the win for Scarborough High School . She surrendered four runs on four hits over seven innings, striking out seven.
Olivia Howe took the loss for Thornton Academy. She lasted six innings, allowing 11 hits and eight runs while striking out two and walking zero.
Scarborough High School totaled 11 hits in the game. Dickinson, Swett, Noiles, and Mollie Verreault each managed multiple hits for Scarborough High School . Dickinson led Scarborough High School with three hits in four at bats.
Miner went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Thornton Academy in hits.
