Quinn Construction Wins Opener Over Dorido's Restaurant

The Quinn Construction Mudcats jumped on Dorido's quickly in the first inning with three runs. John Sansone laced a double to left followed by walks to Jim Pasquine and Greg Stokes. AJ Olasz cleared the bases with a triple down the right field line to make the score 3-0. Luke Hils drove in two more runs with a single in the 4th upping the lead to 5-0. Jim Pasquine scored on a Greg Stokes groundout, and Eric Morrison stretched the lead to 8-0 with a 2-RBI double in the top of the 6th. Dorido's got three runs in the bottom half of the 6th keyed by a Ethan Young double. The Mudcats got one back in the top of the 7th. AJ Olasz hit the top of the outfield fence to lead off the 7th with a double. Devin Matey followed with a single to right to advance Olasz to third. Eric Link brought Olasz home with a squeeze bunt to make it 9-3 Mudcats. Dorido's did not go quietly in the bottom half of the 7th. Back to back singles by TJ Dailey and Josh Wagner and a three-run blast by Ethan Young made the score 9-6. But the comeback win was not to be as the next two batters were retired to end the game.
