Jim Pasquine, Devin Matey And Luke Hils Carry Mudcats
Quinn Construction struck early with 5 runs in the first inning. Chance Satcho lead off the game with a single and moved to third on Tarran Senays single. With runners on first and third, Jim Pasquine singled home Satcho to make it 1-0. After an Eric Morrison walk loaded the bases, Rebels starter Justin Clevenger got Luke Hils to pop up and struck out Cam Dimidjian for the second out of the inning. Just as Clevenger was about to avoid a big inning, West Mifflin junior Devin Matey laced a double down the right field line to bring home two runs and make it 3-0. West Mifflin sophomore Bert Kovalsky followed that by slashing a single to right to drive in two more runs upping the score to 5-0. That is all Quinn starter Luke Hils needed as he tossed a complete game victory to up his record to 4-0 on the season. Pasquine finished the night a triple shy of the cycle as he hit a two-run bomb into the trees at Winklevoss in the 3rd inning.
