Scarborough Takes Lead in Sixth for Victory Over Westbrook

Scarborough Redstorm Varsity took the lead late in the game in an 8-4 victory over Westbrook on Monday. The game was tied at four with Scarborough Redstorm Varsity batting in the top of the sixth when Katie Roy tripled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.
Scarborough Redstorm Varsity fired up the offense in the first inning. Angelina Pizzella singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.
Westbrook evened things up at four in the bottom of the fifth inning. Grace Wallace hit a solo homer.
Jenna Giguere got the win for Scarborough Redstorm Varsity. The righthander went two and a third innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out two and walking zero.
Caitlin Noiles took the loss for Westbrook. The bulldog went seven innings, allowing eight runs on 12 hits and striking out seven.
Meghan Robinson started the game for Scarborough Redstorm Varsity. Robinson allowed seven hits and four runs over four and a third innings, striking out four and walking zero
Scarborough Redstorm Varsity collected 12 hits on the day. Pizzella, Roy, and Sylvia Foley all collected multiple hits for Scarborough Redstorm Varsity. Pizzella led Scarborough Redstorm Varsity with three hits in five at bats.
Westbrook had eight hits in the game. Noiles and Wallace all had multiple hits for Westbrook. Noiles went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Westbrook in hits.
