Biddeford Takes Early Lead & Cruize to Win Over Scarborough

Scarborough Redstorm Varsity fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 9-2 loss to Biddeford on Friday. Biddeford took the lead on a home run in the first inning.
The Scarborough Redstorm Varsity struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Biddeford, giving up nine runs.
In the first inning, Biddeford got their offense started when Chantelle Bouchard homered on a 1-0 count, scoring three runs.
Charlotte Donovan got the win for Biddeford. Donovan allowed five hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out four.
Meghan Robinson took the loss for Scarborough Redstorm Varsity. The pitcher went two innings, allowing four runs on five hits and striking out two.
Angelina Pizzella, Sylvia Foley, AJ Swett, Jenna Giguere, and Katie Roy each managed one hit to lead Scarborough Redstorm Varsity.
Biddeford tallied 15 hits on the day. Baylor Wilkinson, Bouchard, Laura Perreault, Lily LeSieur, and Hannah Gossselin each collected multiple hits for Biddeford.
