18 Hit Barrage Paces Windham to 8-2 Win Over Scarborough

Scarborough Redstorm Varsity fell behind early and couldn't come back in an 8-2 loss to Windham on Wednesday. Windham scored on a single by Ellie Wilson in the first inning, a triple by Brooke Gerry in the second inning, a double by Jayden Kimball in the second inning, and a single by Wilson in the second inning.
The Scarborough Redstorm Varsity struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Windham, giving up eight runs.
Windham got things moving in the first inning. Wilson drove in two when Wilson singled.
Windham scored three runs in the second inning. The offensive firepower by Windham was led by Gerry, Kimball, and Wilson, all driving in runs in the inning.
Gerry earned the victory in the pitcher's circle for Windham. The fireballer surrendered two runs on three hits over seven innings, striking out 12 and walking one.
Jenna Giguere took the loss for Scarborough Redstorm Varsity. The righthander went two and a third innings, allowing five runs on 11 hits, striking out two and walking zero.
Maddie Russo, Jordan Crosby, and Katie Roy all had one hit to lead Scarborough Redstorm Varsity. Scarborough Redstorm Varsity didn't commit a single error in the field. Sylvia Foley had five chances in the field, the most on the team.
Windham racked up 18 hits in the game. Shyler Fielding, Amanda Foss, Gerry, Kimball, Ellen Files, Wilson, and Ella Wilcox all managed multiple hits for Windham.
