Game 14 - Quinn Constrcution High Fives Snappers In Game One

Quinn Construction downed the Snappers tonight at Millennium Park 10-3 in the first game of the best of three championship series as they look to win back to back titles. The Snappers jumped to an early lead as they scored a run in the bottom of the first inning. Quinn Construction trailed until they put five on the board in the fourth frame with four of those runs coming with two outs. The score stayed that way until the Mudcats put the game away in the sixth when they again scored five times. The winners did knock out twelve hits in the game but was aided by four Snapper errors which lead to unearned runs in both big innings. Quinn Construction was lead at the plate A.J Olasz and Bert Kovalsky who had three hits a piece. They also picked up a pair of hits each from Jack Walker and Eric Morrison. The Snappers were lead by Dave McCarthy and Rocco Maue who each delivered two hits. Greg Frederick picked up the win as he went four innings and allowed four hits and two walks. He then turned the game over to Brody Simmons to pick up the save by working the final three frames as he walked two and gave up three hits. Quinn Construction will now look to win tomorrow at home to give themselves their sixth title in the last nine seasons. On the other side, the regular season winning Snappers look to even the series and force a deciding game three at home Monday night. It needs to known that two of the titles that the Mudcats failed to win happened to be when the Snappers were crowned champions in those years.
