Dodgers win a hard-fought one
On a hot day at Pote, 4 Dodger errors in the first two innings helped the Trojans to an early 7-2 lead. In the third inning, the Dodgers capitalized on walks and errors to plate 3; back-to-back doubles from Gonzales and Cunningham tied the score in the 4th. 5 consecutive hits in the 6th put the Dodgers out in front for good. Brian Greene pitched a strong 6 inning; Anthony Di Pieto closed out the last two innings to send the Dodgers to meet the A's in next week's Championship game. The Trojans, after playing tough all year to win the regular season crown, experienced an unlikely error-ladden day, while the Dodgers, often victimized by the big E, played flawless ball after the second inning. A really good game all the way down the line between two battling teams.
