Zane Griffaton Dominates 3R In His DNL Debut
Zane Griffaton just finished a successful sophomore season at West Mifflin HS by leading his team to a WPIAL first place finish. The 16-year old made his DNL debut tonight and sparkled with a two-hit shutout of 3R. Griffaton got a lot of run support as his fellow Mudcats scored 11 runs on 11 hits. Much of the damage came from the top of the order. Ed Pfluger scored 3 runs, had a single, double, and two walks. Big Dog, Jim Pasquine, smacked two singles and a double, scored two runs and had two RBIs. Griffaton got stronger as the game went on and finished the game with 3 consecutive strike outs.
