Mudcats Offense Overwhelms Rebels

Quinn Construction jumped on the Rebels early as they came out swinging the bats. Ed Pfluger lead off the game with a triple and came home when Jim Pasquine hit a laser off the right center field fence. Tarran Senay hit a double to deep right that brought Pasquine home and make it a 2-0 lead for the Mudcats. Eric Morrison got plunked and Angelo Volomino followed with a single to bring home Senay. Chance Satcho followed that with a single to score Morrison and push Volomino to third. Satcho attempted to steal second base but was caught stealing. On the play, Volomino stole home to up the lead to 5-0. Quinn Construction added two more runs in the second and three more runs in the 4th inning to extend the lead to 10-0. The Rebels finally got on the board in the bottom half of the 4th. Colton Brain doubled to dead center and then scored on an Aidan Williams double. The Mudcats finished off the scoring in the top of the 7th when Pasquine and Senay hit back to back solo shots to make it 12-1. Brody Simmons earned the win for Quinn Construction with five solid innings of work. Simmons allowed one earned run on four hits and two walks. Senay finished the job on the hill with two scoreless innings. Mike Bell had a solid day at the plate for the Rebels with three singles.
