Storm Claims Blow Out 13 - 3 Win Over Hawks

An eight-run first inning led Scarborough HS Softball to a 13-3 victory on Thursday. The rally was led by home runs by Angelina Pizzella and AJ Swett, a single by Sophia Ouellette, a fielder's choice by Samantha Cote, and a double by Morgan Scoville.
Marshwood opened up scoring in the first inning, when Louise Roper's sac fly scored one run for Marshwood.
Pizzella earned the victory on the rubber for Scarborough HS Softball. The pitcher lasted five innings, allowing six hits and three runs while striking out five.
Faith Tsakiris took the loss for Marshwood. Tsakiris surrendered eight runs on seven hits over one inning, walking zero.
Scarborough HS Softball socked two home runs on the day. Pizzella had a long ball in the first inning. Swett had a four bagger in the first inning.
Scarborough HS Softball tallied 13 hits on the day. Katie Roy, Natalie Moynihan, Pizzella, and Swett each had multiple hits for Scarborough HS Softball. Moynihan and Roy each managed three hits to lead Scarborough HS Softball.
Kaylynn Decker went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Marshwood in hits.
