Kennebunk Takes & Keeps Early Lead for Win

Scarborough HS Softball fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 2-1 loss to Kennebunk on Monday. Kennebunk scored on a home run by Juliann Pike and a home run by Maddison Pike in the first inning.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Kennebunk pitchers struck out 14, while Scarborough HS Softball sat down four.
Kennebunk got on the board in the first inning. Pike hit a solo homer.
Pike was the winning pitcher for Kennebunk. The fireballer went seven innings, allowing one run on four hits, striking out 14 and walking one.
Natalie Moynihan took the loss for Scarborough HS Softball. The pitcher went six innings, allowing two runs on three hits and striking out four.
Kennebunk socked two home runs on the day. Pike had a dinger in the first inning. Pike went yard in the first inning.
