Swett Collects 4 Hits as Scarborough Downs South Portland

AJ Swett did the opposing team no favors on Tuesday, picking up four hits over four at bats and leading Scarborough HS Softball to a 9-3 win over South Portland. Swett singled in the first, singled in the second, doubled in the fourth, and tripled in the sixth.
Scarborough HS Softball got things started in the first inning. Calynn Gendreau singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.
Scarborough HS Softball scored four runs in the second inning. Swett, Gendreau, Natalie Moynihan, and Angelina Pizzella all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.
Moynihan pitched Scarborough HS Softball to victory. The righty surrendered three runs on nine hits over seven innings, striking out 11.
