The Snappers 9-7 victory over Quinn Construction sets up an elimination game rematch tomorrow at Boyce Mayview beginning 7:00 p.m. The winner of that game will move onto the finals while the losing side will see their 2022 season come to an end. This evening's game was mostly one sided as the Snappers built a 9-0 lead going into the bottom of the sixth. The Snappers scored six times in the second inning to start the scoring. All the runs in that frame came after the Snappers loaded the bases with two outs. Anthony Fanelli, with two strikes on the count for him, delivered a two run double. Brandon Whitfield then followed that up with a three run homer. Winning pitcher Evan Rossi enjoyed a 9-0 lead and took a no hitter into the sixth inning before allowing his first hit with one out. Quinn Construction would score twice in that inning to start their comeback attempt. Rossi picked up the win by allowing two hits and three walks in five and a third innings while strikeing out six. Quinn Construction would bat around in the bottom of the seventh, putting up five runs on the board, and had runners on second and third before the Snappers recored the final out. Fanelli and Jon Leber each knocked out three hits. Also for the Snappers, Whitfield and Vince Dorazio each delivered a pair of hits for the winners. The hard charging Mudcats in their comeback attempt were lead by Logan Simmons' two hits and a home run from Tarran Senay
