Raiders walk it off for the win.
The Kings and the Raiders played a game more like a boxing match between two even foes, going back and forth until the end. The Kings started strong with 3 in the 1st, keyed by a 2-run triple by Corey Neave. The Raiders got 2 back in the 3rd as Gerson Vasquez double in a run and Spencer Steoger drew a bases load walk. Jacob Heredia for the Kings singled in a run in the 3rd, but in the bottom of the 3rd the Raiders tied it as Steven Franco doubled in a run. Back and forth ... jab, upper cut, jab, etc. The Kings scored another in the 5th, as did the Raiders, then the Raiders tied it at 6-6 in the 6th. The Kings took the lead back in the 7th on a David Hopper sacrifice fly and took a 2-run lead in the 8th on a Leo Anderson double. The Raiders came back to tie the game on a clutch 2-run double by Brett Klasko in the 8th. In the top of the 9th the Kings got a couple of hits, but could not score. The bottom of the 9th for the Raiders .... first batter out, Jesse Elizarraraz draws a walk, followed by a hit and run single by Felix Pacheco moving Elizarraraz to 3rd. This brings up Jorge Martinez, who hit a blooper toward RF, but not deep ... the Kings secondbaseman reaches up and it glances of his glove and hits the ground. Elizarraraz on 3rd bolts for the plate ... safe ..... Raiders win! Tough battle between two good teams.
For the Raiders, Steve Franco had a big 4-hit day to lead the way. And for the Kings, Jacobi Rainge had 3 hits and made many great plays at SS, and Joseph Ruffin hit 3 line drive singles.
