Paulsen's HBP Advances Longhorns to Championship Game
This game came down to a 6th inning California Rules finish due to the time limit being reached.
The Beast would bat 1st in the 6th, with the previous innings last 3 batters being put on base and the Beast would start with one out. Nicky Mauceri on the hill for the Longhorns fielded a bunt and threw the runner out at the plate, he then got the next batter to ground out to SS.
The Longhorns would start the bottom of the 6th the exact same way. Cole Paulsen stepped up to the plate and he was hit with the very first pitch for a walk off win.
The Longhorns did not play a good game, their pitching was off (Except Mauceri), and their defense was not good.
Calabro, Paulsen and Maisano each drove in 2 for the Longhorns.
