Game 7 - Seventh Inning Comeback Win For Quinn Construction

A rematch of last season's championship final round turned into an nail biting, back and forth affair. Each team had the lead three different times today at Winklevoss Field. The home standing Quinn Construction group took the lead last with a pair of runs in the bottom of the seventh to complete the final inning, come from behind victory. The Titans scored two in the top of the first for the early lead, along with two more in the third before a pair in the seventh gave them a 6-5 advantage. This is then when the Mudcats staged their comeback as Angelo Volomino singled and stole second to start their half of the frame. Logan Simmons walked next and a wild pitch put runners on second and third. That was then followed by a well placed bunt by Corey Kuszaj that he beat out for a single while the tying run scored. Next, the Titans intentionally walked Tarran Senay to load the bases. The next batter, Jim Pasquine, then end the game with a hot shot off the third baseman as Simmons came across the plate with the final run of the day. A key factor in the early part of the game was when the Titans loaded the bases in the second inning, but didn't score. Pasquine lead the Mudcats with three hits. Quinn Construction also got a pair each from Senay, Kuszaj, Bert Kovalsky and Eric Morrison as every starter in their lineup produced a hit. For the Titans, Nick Arnoni and Jason Shirley each had two hits.
