Kenny Gault Fans 11 In Relief To Down South Park
South Park jumped on Quinn Construction starter Ethan Van Scoy in the first inning. After getting the first two batters out, Van Scoy gave up a double to Austin Lafferty. After an intentional walk to Luis Gonzalez and a walk to Dylan Kugler, David Monaco slapped a two-strike pitch down the right field line to put South Park ahead 2-0. Quinn Construction would take the lead back in the fourth inning when it scored four runs off South Park starter Dylan Pounds. Zane Griffaton got the inning started with a lead off triple. Corey Kuszaj brought Griffaton home with a single and then singles by Tarran Senay, Eric Morrison, and AJ Olasz made the score 4-2. South Park responded in the bottom half of the 4th. A walk and three consecutive singles tied the score up 4-4. That's when Quinn Construction summoned Kenny Gault from the bullpen. With the bases loaded, Gault fanned Gonzalez and Kugler to end the South Park threat. In the top of the 6th inning, the Mudcats took the lead with some two out lightning. Tarran Senay drew a walk and then advanced to third on Jim Pasquines hit and run single. Eric Morrison brought home Senay with a single to make it 5-4. Quinn Construction added an insurance run in the 7th when Zane Griffaton singled, stole second, went to third on the overthrow, and then caught the defense napping as he kept on going to score the insurance run. Gault kept the South Park bats quiet as he mowed down nine more batters in the 5th, 6th, and 7th innings to earn the win.
