Matt McCartney Tosses Complete Game In Snappers Victory
The Snappers took advantage of free bases right away when back-to-back Snappers walked and Brandon Whitfield singled both home to take a quick 2-0 lead. South Park answered in the bottom of the frame after a double by Dylan Kuglar who later scored on a single. The first three batters for the Snappers in inning two reached based including singles by Eddie Schussler and Braeden Coyle, and the inning was capped off by a Brian Reed single to score three more runs. Reed was not done as he drove in another run in the third inning to give the Snappers a 7-1 lead. South Park answered with a solo runs in the bottom of the third and the fourth innings to keep the score close at 7-3. In the top of the fifth inning who other than Reed put the Snappers ahead big with a three run home run to left center to put the game away. Matt McCartney went the distance to pick up the win for the Snappers.
