Another Raiders/Cub thriller
On a beautiful Tuesday evening, and a cool off/delay due to thunderstorm, the Cubbies hosted the Raiders in a battle for 1st place.
After a 2-2 tie heading into the 6th, the Raiders would capitalize on a costly error in the field, scoring two runs. The Cubs attempt at a comeback would be silenced by the right arm of Braydon Burdick, who tossed a complete game gem. Abe Pacella went 4 innings and Bryce Worden pitched well in relief. Pacella and Burdick had 10 K’s each, and Bryce chipped in with 5 as well.
With the series tied up 1-1, it’ll likely come down to the finale to determine the regular season league champ. Tremendous sportsmanship by both teams and great attitudes were the biggest takeaway this evening. Awesome effort fellas!
