BREWERS WIN BIG AGAINST WILDCATS ON EASTLINK!

The Metro Brewers were back in action on Tuesday night as they travelled to Kentville to face the Wildcats live on EastlinkTV. The Brew Crew came alive in every aspect and really came together as a team having everyone contribute to a big 13-5 victory.

Tommy Hayman had an unforgettable night as he led the offense in the game going a perfect 5-5 with a triple, a double and three singles. Hayman had three RBIs, scored two runs and added a stolen base to finish off a stellar performance at the plate. Chase Brown and Owen Young each had great nights of their own both having three hits apiece. Brown added two RBIs and a run and Young had one RBI and a run. Rookie Alex Ouellette continued his great first season in the league going 2-4 with a triple, scoring four runs, driving in one run and stealing a base. Fulton Logan, Nolan Bennett, Larry Barton, Larenze Barton and Mike Short all had one hit each.

Ben Marsh started the game on the mound for the Brewers and he was the only pitcher they needed as he pitched a very strong complete game. Over the seven innings Marsh only allowed five earned runs while surrendering just one walk and striking out six Kentville batters.

The Brewers committed no errors in the game showing once again that good pitching and defense is the key and can allow the bats to get alive to pick up some victories. The win now sits the Brewers at 10-10 with ten games remaining on the season. The Brewers continue to hold that second place position heading into the final stretch of the season.
