Brewers lose pitching duel to Dry.

The Metro Brewers were back in action on Tuesday night as they hosted the first place Dartmouth Dry under the lights live on EastlinkTV. The game didn't go the Brewers way as they lost a nail biter by a score of 1-0. Neither team offered up much offense as there were only eight hits in the game combined by the two clubs.

Ben Marsh continued his dominant ways on the mound going six very strong innings for the Brewers only allowing one run which was an unearned run over three hits and striking out six Dry batters. Owen Young cleaned up the final inning to give the Brewers a chance to win. Sean Hubley picked up the victory for the Dry.

Fulton Logan led the offense going 2-3 with a double. Alex Ouellette, Larenze Barton and Tommy Hayman all collected a hit of their own to cap off what was a quiet night for the Brew Crew at the plate.

The Brewers now sit in fourth place with a 10-12 record holding onto that final playoff spot with seven regular season games remaining. Catch the Brewers back in action on Thursday August 15th for an immediate rematch with the Dartmouth Dry at Beazley Field. First pitch 7:30PM.
