Replacements Edge Noodles in Play-In Game
The No. 12 seeded Replacements earned a spot in the double-elimination playoff bracket with a 7-6 win over the No. 7 Roman Noodles, the Replacements' third straight play-in victory ... Back-to-back-to-back home runs by Sarnowski, Clopp and Quinque put the Replacements up 3-0 in the top of the second ... The Noodles got two back off a Cottrill home run in the bottom half, but the Replacements came right back with a four spot in the third off three home runs, two by Sarnowski and one from Quinque ... The Noodles battled back within one and had the tying run on base in the bottom of the fifth, but Sarnowski closed it out from the rubber ... Matt Cottrill finished 3-for-4 with three homers and a walk for the Noodles.
