Tigers Roar into Playoffs
The Tigers charged early and hard for the win in their playoff opener. There are too many heroes to list in a complete team effort.
Still, first has to be pitching and the sterling combo of Louie Opatz and Kris Wynne, who combined to limit the high scoring Spartans to only 2 hits over 6 innings with 6 K's from Opatz and 1 added by Wynne.
Cats fired on all cylinders, piling up 17 hits to keep the pressure on all game.
Wynne was also a star at the plate, with 2 hits, a walk, 3 runs scored and 4 stolen bases. Not to be outdone, Ben Sheehan added 4 RBI's with a triple and single along with 2 runs scored. Jade Devitt added a clutch triple and 2 hits while Opatz helped himself with 3 hits and 2 RBIs.
Tiger tip-o-the-cap to the Spartans for a really successful season. Dave Robinson put together a really solid team.
