Larks rally late, end Huskies season
The last ticket from Region 12C was a stake on Friday night in Dassel as the Larks overcame a 4-run deficit in 9th and eventually won in 11 innings. The Huskies took a 3-0 after the 1st, thanks to an error and Tyler Schiller's 2-run homerun. Jake Wendland added a solo shot in the 3rd. The Larks got on the board in the 4th as Carter Kurth exited for Jon DeRock. The big inning came in the 9th as pinch-hitter Corey Koskie hit a 3-run shot to tie the game at 6. The Huskies had a chance to score in the bottom, but couldn't scratch one across. Jayden Fleck took the loss after allowing 2 runs in the 11th. Hutchinson left the bases loaded in the bottom. The Huskies finished 20-7 overall and miss the state tournament for the first time since 2020.
