Brewers Over Peaches, 13-4
Peaches couldn't keep up with Brewers and fell 13-4 on Sunday at Glendale Sports Complex.
Brewers jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Fier tripled, scoring 2 runs, and Fier scored later on a passed ball.
Brewers added 2 runs in the second after Bullard singled to right field.
Brewers scored 5 runs on 2 hits in the top of the seventh inning.
Christian Wright pitched a complete game for Peaches. The hurler gave up 8 hits and 13 runs (3 earned), striking out 6 and walking 2. The Peaches defense gave up 8 errors.
Felix drove the middle of the lineup, leading Peaches with 2 runs batted in. The outfielder went 2-for-3 on the day. Peaches had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating 7 walks for the game. Laddin and Yaroslow led the team with 2 bases on balls each.
Brewers collected 8 hits in the game. Bullard collected 2 hits for Brewers as well as driving in 2. Brewers ran wild on the base paths, piling up 11 stolen bases for the game. Brewers turned four double plays in the game.
